Eagle Chapter is one of 30 Air Force Security Police Association (AFSPA) Chapters.Chartered on July 22, 2003, Eagle Chapter was the first AFSPA chapter to be located in AFSPA's North Atlantic Region. Membership in Eagle Chapter is free to all Air Force Security Police Association members who reside in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, or West Virginia.
Our North Atlantic Regional Director is Ray Heywang. Our North Atlantic Regional Deputy Director is Captain Kristian (Kris) Zhea. Kris is assigned to the 305th Security Forces Squadron at McGuire AFB New Jersey. Click on the Chapter Officers tab above to see Eagle Chapter's Board of Officers.

Proud Warrior, the Chapter's program to provide support to Security Force Airmen who are critically-injured in combat, aids Airmen who are medically-evacuated to Walter Reed Army Medical Center Washington DC. Through our member and corporate sponsors, Eagle Chapter provides direct support to Security Force members who are severely injured in combat and to unit morale and recognition programs for Air Expeditionary Forces that refresh troops in the Gulf. Contact our chairman by mail or email (see below) to inquire further about how you or your organization can make Support Our Troops a call to action!Eagle Chapter provides support primarily to U. S. Air Force Security Forces units and personnel. Security Forces personnel provide dedicated combat arms and installation law enforcement for the US Air Force missions. Although AFSPA membership is open to any military or civilian security forces, police or law enforcement professional, our focus is on U. S. Air Force active duty, reservists, guard and Department of the Air Force Civilian Security Forces personnel. Our military and civilian members, predominantly are assigned to the following agencies and/or installations:

HQ USAF Briefs. Lt Col Greg Moultrie, HQ USAF Directorate of Security, briefs chapter members on the Air Force posture on the global war on terrorism. Chapter presents events throughout the year that highlight Air Force Security Forces missions and programs.

Eagle Chapter supports Air Force Security Force members globally who are recognized annually by Headquarters Air Force among its 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year program.
Supporting Air Force Warfighters - Unit Donations. Col Irwin is now Director of Security Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB IL. Through the generosity of corporate and member donations, Eagle Chapter has donated $800.00 during a three month period to support Air Force Security Force warfighter morale and recognition programs.
We also award US Savings Bonds to the Security Force NCO and Airmen of the Quarter at Andrews, Bolling, Dover and Langley Air Force Bases.
Honoring Air Force Excellence. In photo at left, Eagle Chairman, Lee Chambers, presents chapter award to Chief Master Sergeant (Retired) Clara Duhon. Chief Duhon was the first female Security Forces Member to earn Chief Master Sergeant (E-9) - the highest enlisted grade in the Air Force. In photo at right, Eagle Vice Chairman Tidewater Wing, Ken Brewster (far left), prepares to recognize Brigadier General Mary K. Hertog (next to Ken). General Hertog was the first Security Forces female member to earn the grade of Brigadier General. Along with Ken and General Hertog are Eagle Members, Ed Lawton, Clara Duhon, and Lt Col Dave Marttala. At the time of this photo, Lt Col Marttala was the Commander of the 1st Security Forces Squadron at Langley AFB VA.
Honoring Air Force Courage. In photo at left, Eagle Chairman, Lee Chambers, recognizes Senior Airman Tony Pizzifred and his mom, Ms Vicky Turnock. Photo taken while Airman Pizzifred was hospitalized as a result of his engagement with a land mine in Afghanistan. Chapter honored him for his heroism and honored his mom, as the Honorary Chapter Mom, for her devotion to her son during this ordeal. Corporate and member donations to support chapter operations enable 100% of the money donated to the Proud Warrior program to go to aid critically wounded Security Forces Airmen who are medically evacuated to Walter Reed Army Regional hospital. In photo at right, Airman Pizzifred (at right) joins Lee in visiting Airman Brian Kolfage who was critically wounded in Iraq.
Warfighter Memorial Services. Under this program we provide support Security Force and our nation's warfighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We place wreaths on War Memorials in DC and at other National Cemeteries. We also place bouquets on SF gravesites at Arlington National Cemetery and we serve as a liaison between the Security Force deceased member's family and Arlington or other agencies as needed. We can also take photos of the internment ceremony and provide them to the family members.
