FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On November 5, 2005 while riding in a convoy in Southwest Asia, 1Lt Sarah Parris, sustained serious, multiple injuries as a result of a vehicle accident.  She has been medically evacuated to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC.

After being initially treated at Walter Reed and released after a four-day stay, now on convalescent leave pending further review. She returns to Walter Reed the end of February.

Out of concern for patient privacy and on-going operations, we cannot provide more specific details other than how to help and where that help can be best applied.

Donations:

  •  Lt Parris. Lt Parris has graciously requested that no money be given to her. Please consider donating to Proud Warrior or Eagle Chapter.

  •  AFSPA Proud Warrior Program.  You can also make a donation to the AFSPA Proud Warrior Program. Your donation can help other Airmen who are supported by the AFSPA Proud Warrior program.    If you would like to make a donation via credit card to the Proud Warrior Program, click on the donate button below.

  • Eagle Chapter. You can make a general donation to Eagle Chapter. Eagle Chapter is a nonprofit organization. We provide support to our Proud Warrior Airmen by providing them a bouquet, a coin display holder for collecting the many coins that are given to Proud Warrior Airmen by visiting dignitaries, publicity on this web site, a Security Forces Heritage Calendar that they all prominently display on their hospital wall, one year membership in AFSPA, and an AFSPA coin.  We make frequent visits to see these Airmen and serve as a liaison between their families, military organizations, local civic and community organizations in their home towns and/or permanent units of assignment.
