Veterans Day 2016 - one of the premier events where we reflect on our veterans. Veterans Day, we have two phases: Wreath and floral placement - the chapter places wreaths at memorials in Washington DC and the Phoebus National Cemetery near Joint Base Langley Eustis VA. In addition, at Phoebus, we remember one of our own who passed away at a very young age, Senior Airman Thomas "TJ" Richardson then stationed at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling Washington DC - Eagle Member Trudy Hannah places the wreath at Phoebus and she places a fresh floral arrangement on TJ's internment at Phoebus. The other phase is the wreath laying program participation at the Air Force Memorial and the Women's Memorial. Please enjoy these photos and help us to reach out to other Eagle Chapter communities in 2017!

Eagle Chapter Wreath Placements at area Memorials on Veterans day
Aside from participating in Veterans Day programs at the Air Force Memorial and Women's Memorial, the chapter also places a wreath at the Vietnam War Veterans Memorial, Vietnam War Women Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the World War II Veterans Memorial in Washington DC. Thanks to Eagle Member Trudy Hannah, we also lay a wreath at the Phoebus National Memorial in Hampton VA (located near Joint Base Langley Eustis VA). She also paid our respect at the internment of Senior Airman Thomas "TJ" Richardson who while serving at the 11th Security Forces Squadron Bolling Air Force Base died March 19, 2013 after a heroric fight for heart cancer.
